Hello Buzznet!

It was my birthday on Sunday, was fantastic, got some really cool stuff and generally it's just been an amazing week!

As discussed last week, I started my year long project on September 1st, the day after my birthday, it'll run until 31st August 2009 (My 20th Birthday).

It'll be really interesting for me, a doodle every day for a whole year, I'll really get to see how my doodles/style developes or doesn't develop over the next year, and it'll be interesting looking back how far I go from my first doodle to the 365th!

Anyway, 2 done, 363 to go, also been talking with an art gallery about featuring the project, that'd be very cool.

Okay I'm nearly 19, just over a year away I won't be a teenager anymore.

Anyway, I've been thinking what to do when I'm 19, and I've thought of lots of things like get a car, rent a flat, all that kind of stuff, and what brands I'd like to work with and where I'd like to go with rboyu.

All good stuff.

Anyway, what I've decided to do is a doodle a day.

So every single day for a year I have to do a doodle to blog on my new website (not finished yet) and on Buzznet.

So 365 doodles from September 1st until 31st August 2009 (my 20th birthday, oh my gosh)

I remember a buzzmaker doing this with photographs of herself, sorry I can't remember who, so it'll be similar to this, I think my doodles will be in journals rather than pictures as they'd go screwy in jpg's. [Edit: no they don't!!]

Okay I should start blogging more, I do have a reason.

Blogging is quite theraputic, if that's the right word to use, whether it's good or bad it's nice to write about it to clear your head a bit or bring you back down to earth, like a diary.

I have definately been getting way stressed latelly, it's nothing to worry about, I just need to slow down my thoughts a bit, it's not easy having this crazily magnificent mind ;]

Okay things to do this week..

Get in touch with art galleries.

Get quotes from new manufacturing sources (yawn yawn yawn.. pssh)

Arrange a meeting with a sexy 'mystery' fashion brand - can't say who, wouldn't be fair at this stage.

Talk to loads of artists about a project I'm currently working on for rboyu.

Make my buzznet look nice.

Work on my own website.

Work on the rboyu website.

Work on another website..

Go for a run or two.

Do some art.

LALALA, so yeah, I'll start blogging more, SOZ if it's shit, it's for my own benefit.

I'll try and include something interesting.. lol.

Hello BawesomeUZZNETTERS.

As I didn't get chance to come on so much latelly, I must have missed all the discussion and debate (if there were any) about the new navigation bar and homepage on buzznet.

So what do you guys think?

I know there must be reasons for it, or the Buzznet team got bored ;)

I like the homepage lots, it's all colourful, but where's the news gone? Buzznet brought me mighty fine gossip from the you ess of ay, now I never ever never know what's going on there.

I also like the featured member bit at the bottom, but where's the Buzzmakers links gone? I think I've been on the actual Buzzmakers page once, and it's so hard to get to! Community < What Is Buzz < Look down the side bar < Buzzmakers < View Members.

Ah well, I'll not be able to stalk any Buzzmakers profiles as easily anymore. Jokes. Jokes.

My views on the navigation bar - I prefered the all blue one, was easier to use, and didn't stand out more than the actual users profile.

Summary:

- I dislike the navigation bar, though it's no big deal

HEY YOO GUIZE.

Right, I got back on Buzznet when I fixed my macbook, two days later it like, blew up, seriously, the hard drive is totally bummed and I need to get that replaced whenever I find a spare day.

So, I've not been able to talk about myself to you lot as I usually do (sarcasm, hopefully) so here's a little about what I've been upto, call it being vain, or maybe telling my friends why I haven't been speaking to them! I choose probably the first. Duh.

Okay, me and Mark have done around 2 months of solid research into getting my new project underway, can't speak too much about it yet as my accountant is sorting it all out for me, then once the legals are out of the way I can divulge to you as much as I feel!

Right, so as I just mentioned, my new project, basically clothes, but totally more fun, hopefully your going to love it, it's been really excited the last few days all the 2 months of research coming together, a weight of our shoulders.

I've been making the new website, it's currently got around 50 pages, but after around another 2 months that'll probably shoot up to around FIVE HUNDRED, that's right, five oh oh. The site has a built in store and we've been improving the customer communication by adding 3 new steps to our email notifications, so the customer knows exactly where their order is at, awesome.

As well as all this, the standard of the clothes is also getting improved, with the clothes being custom made, from our own designed fabric, into the finished clothing, which, is exciting, and gives me the freedom to make better prints and better front only designs, aswell as having fancy embroidery.

Also, been doing calculations, and working out where to have the new new office, and even making plans for a custom built office/studio/gallery after the up-sizing from our current office, thinking ahead.

The next two years until then are going to be so much fun, anyway, I'll let you know at the start of it where you can get the stuff, what it's called, what the details are of it and everything.

Rihanna has banned fans from bringing umbrellas to her gigs in a move based on security fears.

According to the Daily Star's playlist, fans attending the star’s gig on Monday (March 3) had their brollies confiscated by security guards before they got into the Aberdeen Exhibition Centre for the show.

Security guard Andy McDonald told the newspaper: “We don’t normally ask people to leave an umbrella outside. But we were taking precautions over a potential accident.

“We were told that Rihanna’s song features dancing with umbrellas on stage. We didn’t want the crowd following her actions and someone getting their eye poked out.”

Fan Shonagh Henderson was quoted as saying: “I couldn’t believe it when I had mine taken off me. I always carry an umbrella as the weather is dodgy and snow was predicted to fall.”

My lovely macbook is no more.

It went kapoop yesterday morning after around 7 months of loyal service, and shall be sent back, hopefully for a brand spanking new one, as to be honest, £800 for 7 months is around £115 a month, no no no.

I tried everything yesterday, even wiping the system (losing ALL of my new designs I've been working on the past 3 weeks) and re-installing the operating system, with no luck. It starts up, and gets stuck when starting up, blue screen of death..

I'm still waiting for a response from them on the matter, I don't know what happened. Fair gutted.

This was scary! Didn't know what the heck was going on to be honest.
Went into my Mum's bedroom saying we had just an earthquake, she slept right through it!

My thoughts, there should be more websites on the interwebs helping people becoming vegetarians, rather than showing them stuff to want to become vegetarians.

Eg:

So all your friends hang out at McDonalds?
"Hi, yeah, could I have a Big Mac meal, WITHOUT MEAT, thanks"

It's as easy as that, lol



Having a curry? Have it with mushrooms instead of chicken, etc etc etc.

I know it sounds obvious, but for some people who grow up in meat-eating homes, it's difficult to work out how you can become a vegetarian within your household, but it's fairly easy with some guidance, I'd imagine.

I'm starting to use my Myspace Blogs a bit more so I'm starting "The John Payne Blog" on there, I'll also be posting these Blogs on my Buzznet journals, of course!

I don't have much to say for the my first Blog, thought I want some opinions off you.
